A completely southern aspect allows this southern grape, which is becoming increasingly popular in Switzerland, to flourish. Its beautiful structure and supple tannins are enhanced by 16 months in barrels. It makes a fantastic companion to red meat or meat in sauce.
Grape variety: Merlot
Particularity: Typical grape variety from Bordeaux, increasing plantings in Switzerland.
Character: Intense red color with a spicy and red fruit aroma.
The aromas of red fruit are persistent and intermingle with notes of mokka in the finish. Softness on the palate with distinguished tannins. Merlot is a structured and complex wine.
Recommended: Main dish, red meat and in sauce, wild game meat, risotto
Temperature: 13 to 15 ° C
Custody: 4-8 years, good aging potential
